Biography

Leia is a Texas native who relocated to Rochester, Minnesota after obtaining her law degree in 2021. Her practice primarily includes family law, estate planning, and criminal defense.

Leia decided she wanted to be an attorney when she was in high school and never waivered from that plan. She attended the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) where she majored in psychology and was captain of the women's swim team. After graduating from UIW in 2018, Leia attended Texas Tech University School of Law.

During her time at Texas Tech, Leia went above and beyond to gain as much hands-on experience as possible. Leia served as a student attorney in the Family Law and Housing Clinic and as an editor of the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal where she received the Outstanding Second Year Editor Award and the Top Article's Editor award. While at Texas Tech, Leia worked as a legal research assistant to a nationally recognized estate planning professor and spent her first and second summer of law school interning at a family law and criminal defense firm. Dedicated to giving back to her community, Leia served as a member of the Student Pro Bono Board and was named as the Community Service Executive of the Hispanic Law Students Association.

Since graduating from law school, Leia has enjoyed practicing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, estate planning, real estate, and other civil litigation matters. Recognizing that seeking the assistance of an attorney can be a daunting experience, Leia strives to put her clients first and help them navigate the intricacies and complexities of their case every step of the way.

Leia currently serves as a board member for Families First of Minnesota, Zumbro Valley Health Center, and Reach The Top MN. When not at work, Leia enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their dog, Bandit. She also loves exploring the beautiful trails in Rochester and supporting local restaurants and breweries.
